Department: MMIS Operations Job Summary Job Description Support and develop interfaces between both internal and external trading partners. Document all interfaces between the Section and internal and external entities, including interface schemas. Identify and investigate innovative technologies and/or processes across the Section that potentially provide value to the Section. Design robust, reusable and scalable data driven solutions and data pipeline frameworks to automate the ingestion, processing, and delivery of structured and unstructured batch and real-time streaming data. Develop data APIs and data delivery services to support critical operational processes and analytical models. Implement best practices in management of enterprise data, including master data, reference data, metadata, data quality, and lineage. Provide technical support to project teams working on complex and interrelated systems to ensure compliance with all information technology policies, procedures and programming standards. Develop reporting in conjunction with leadership that meets the needs of the Section, meets required report specifications, and which guides business decisions. Lead meetings with internal and external stakeholders to elicit information needs and ensure appropriate interpretations. Conduct detailed audits, quality reviews, and ad-hoc reporting of all interfaces and batch transactions as needed. Establish and review error reports for data warehouse loads and other file transfers and interfaces to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Establish and perform batch monitoring and restarts consisting of verifying batch jobs start as scheduled, monitoring scheduled production batch jobs and resolving batch scheduling conflicts. Monitor scheduler related incidents and develop and recommend changes to the scheduler database. Notify the Section as required in the "Run Book" or other supporting documentation of success and failure of batches. Perform active maintenance and regular reviews to improve the effectiveness of the "Run Book". Ensure that all SLAs related to interface and batch processing are successfully met. Communicate with Interface trading partner(s) on technical issues. Notify cross functional teams and program sections of any Interface or batch related issues. Analyze and interpret complex data on all target systems, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to validate requirements. Perform root cause analysis to resolve and validate all interface and batch production issues. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the Section. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree. Minimum 3 years of experience with database technologies such as SQL. Minimum 3 years of experience with data warehousing architecture concepts and ETL techniques. Minimum 3 years of experience with Batch and Interface processing of large data groups. Minimum 3 years of experience with HIPAA EDI X12N suite. Experience interacting with service APIs and Enterprise service level transactions. Experience with Agile development and project management practices. Ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences. DESIRED: Master's degree in a technical field (e.g. computer science, math, engineering). Minimum 4 years of experience with database technologies such as SQL. Minimum 4 years of experience with data warehousing architecture concepts and ETL techniques. Minimum 4 years of experience with Batch and Interface processing of large data groups. Minimum 4 years of experience with HIPAA EDI X12N suite. Relevant technology certification (CISM, CISSP, CISA).
