Cloud Data Center Architect

Client is building cloud services for a cloud services provider, so the end product will be consumed via retail clients. We are looking for someone at the strategic level who has also been involved in the build-out process. Responsibilities Build a Data Center specific to providing Cloud Services. Understand the consumption model of those services or SaaS and IaaS (how they are consumed by end clients). Comprehend the underlying components that go into Cloud Services, including Networking, Server, Virtual Server, Storage, Application Virtualization, Identity Management, Physical and Virtual Monitoring, and other components of the Cloud Ecosystem. Work with technologies such as SAN, Cisco, VMware, Hyper-V, System Center, Citrix, App-V, and VDI. Produce a plan to build out the service after gathering requirements from the client. This is a short-term contract position with the opportunity for this to transition to long-term for the right candidate, but there would be a break between phases. Qualifications Skills Required: Thorough understanding of and strong experience with Cloud Management Ecosystems from various vendors (Microsoft, Citrix, Cisco, among others).
