We are seeking a dedicated individual to join us as a Lab Technician, working in our Extrusion Pilot, Lab, and Kitchen spaces. This role involves supporting trial operations, blending ingredients, and maintaining our spaces. We are looking for someone who enjoys flexibility in their day and loves to help out wherever needed. Responsibilities: Be an active and reliable member of our Extrusion Team, displaying a strong work ethic, minimizing distractions, and fostering a positive working environment. Support trials by following standard operating procedures, collecting, and recording data. Conduct changeovers and clean equipment before and after trials, including assembling and disassembling machines and tooling. Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitized work area and equipment. Assist the team with dishwashing support. Perform weekly inventory counts and coordinate replacements with the team. Participate in regular freezer, fridge, and pantry cleanouts. Attend assigned training sessions, acquire knowledge, and follow all safety and food regulation procedures and policies. Comply with all Plant, State, and Federal OSHA, EPA, FDA, HACCP, and SQF regulations. Ensure regular and reliable attendance and punctuality. Perform other duties as assigned by supervision. Work with powdered plant proteins that are known allergens, including soy and wheat. Physical Demands: Stand, occasionally sit, walk, use hands and fingers, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include reading and analyzing data in hard copy and on a computer screen, measuring or identifying using eyesight, and adjusting vision focus. Education/Basic Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required. A safety-first mentality and proactive approach to identifying safety issues. Experience working with and around food manufacturing equipment preferred. Ability to work as part of a team. Ability to learn new procedures and concepts quickly and maintain high-quality work. Ability to identify and analyze issues independently. Excellent record-keeping, inventory management, and accountability skills. Proficiency with Excel and Word. Ability to use or learn web-based work-related applications. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent attendance. Preferred Qualifications: 1-2 years of experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Food industry experience preferred. Familiarity or understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP) preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
