Part-Time Faculty: Cybersecurity - Spring 2025 The School of Computing and Engineering at Quinnipiac University seeks highly qualified applicants who are committed to excellence in teaching for part-time faculty openings in Cybersecurity for the Spring 2025 semester and beyond. The school is experiencing steady enrollment growth and is looking to staff graduate-level lecture sections, and also desires to develop and maintain a pool of candidates should additional part-time openings arise. About the School/Program: The School of Computing and Engineering became the ninth school at Quinnipiac University on July 1, 2016 (then the School of Engineering). The school offers degrees in civil, industrial, mechanical and software engineering, cybersecurity, and computer science. Housed in the newly renovated Communications, Computing and Engineering building, the school features newly constructed and outfitted laboratories, and classrooms. Dedicated to providing a first-rate computing and engineering learning experience for our students, the school focuses on high-quality instruction, and offers hands-on training, applied learning opportunities and meaningful student-faculty relationships. Responsibilities: Covering up to 9 credits of courses (12 credits may be possible under certain circumstances). Designing courses as needed. We have prior material but allow our instructors flexibility in presenting material in their own design and interest. Presenting material to students in an engaging interactive environment. Assessing student performance as appropriate throughout the semester. Holding regular office hours (generally 1 hour a week per 3 credits taught). Coordinating with other instructors for courses with multiple sections and/or labs. For some courses, retaining material for course assessment and accreditation purposes. For Cybersecurity Curriculum, teach courses including: penetration testing, identity and access management, data security, system resilience, cloud security and software security. Experience with commercial software tools is a plus. Qualifications: A minimum of a Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, although consideration will be given to excellent candidates who possess practical experience or professional licensure. While prior teaching experience is preferred, we also welcome applicants interested in adding teaching experience to their portfolio.
