Location: NYU's Tandon School of Engineering. (VIRTUAL for 2021) Admissions Req: FOR NYC and NJ residents!! (Must live in one of the five New York City boroughs or smaller neighboring cities such as Jersey City, Newark, or Hempstead). Though it is virtual for 2021, it might be more open to more students. For all students entering 9th, 10th, 11th, or 12th grade by September. You just need to submit two essays of 250 words or less about your interest in this computing program and your STEM community. You will also need a laptop (Chromebooks are not compatible) and a strong and reliable Wi-Fi connection. Highlight: Are you interested in a career in engineering, particularly computer engineering? Then get an introduction to the fundamentals of cybersecurity and computer science in NYU's Tandon School of Engineering CS4CS three-week full-day summer computing program. Tackle a variety of topics including digital forensics, steganography, "white-hat" hacking, and cryptography. This FREE computing program will introduce you to a world of computer technology where you will be able to test your passion for STEM through hands-on learning and challenges. You don't need a background in programming or cybersecurity for this program; just bring your passion and interest in STEM, along with your enthusiasm. This computing program will enhance your passion and educate you to pursue a career that will change the world of technology.
