OMS Field Services is looking for a Data Management Specialist (DMS) to work in our clients Vegetation Management program. This position will be responsible for managing the VMD (Vegetation Management Database) used with Client's Vegetation Management program. Business conduct must occur in accordance with OMS policies and procedures and be aligned with the goals of OMS and our client. Essential Functions: A DMS is responsible for managing the VMD (Vegetation Management Database) used with Client's Vegetation Management program including receiving downloads of data from field personnel, transferring data in various computer programs, generating, and closing out Work Requests, creating pre-load files, tracking refusals and EC notifications/cases, troubleshooting the database, printing reports, copying, distributing data, filing reports and performing analyses. The DMS must be able to effectively communicate procedures for use of hand-held devices to field personnel, resolve user problems, maintain VMDSR as directed by the Client Representative, maintain an area equipment inventory, and facilitate the completion of timely and accurate reports. Assure project folders are complete and include all necessary records for the project before they are archived. Other duties as assigned by OMS or the client. Qualifications: A minimum of two (2) years' experience working with computers, office equipment and data entry equipment. Required to maintain a Class C driver's license, including participating in Employer Pull Notice Program (EPN), with DMV. Conduct a background check, drug screening, and health exam. Approval by Client Representative. Working Conditions: Environmental Factors: Indoor and outdoor conditions; exposure to heat, cold, potentially hazardous chemicals, toxic materials; work on/walk on slippery or uneven and potentially mountainous terrain. Noise level is usually moderate.
