JOB DESCRIPTION FOX Corporation is seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and team-oriented professional for the position of Senior Manager, Catering & Special Events. This Senior Manager takes the lead in planning, executing, and supervising the special events within the FOX Lot and off-lot events. The Senior Manager, Catering & Special Events also supervises the proper planning and set-up of catering within the FOX Lot and FOX Plaza as needed. This Senior Manager is responsible for implementing Fox Corporation policies and procedures and ensuring that the standards set forth by the Department of Public Health are met when setting up catering and special events. A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Identifying the manpower requirements needed for special events Creating special events sign-up sheets for FOH employees and submitting final sign-up sheet to Finance Booking event captains and temp labor and creating gate passes, as needed Creating staff assignments and shift schedules, based on event needs Coordinating with the BOH team to align with product availability, product ordering, flow of service, food presentation, and display requirements Reviewing rental requirements, including buffet equipment and linens Ordering linens for special events Creating special event pull lists Managing the set up and strike of special events Managing the event staff Leading the event pre-shift staff meetings Signing in and signing out temp staff Sending actual temp hours to the staffing agencies Supervising the pulling and distribution of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages needed for special events Proper counting, returning, and storing of unused beverages for special events Completing beverage consumption sheets after special events Completing special event recaps after special events Closing and charging the special events paperwork on the POS system Managing the special event and catering equipment storage areas and inventory Procuring special events equipment as needed Managing the timely set up and strike of catering set-ups Coordinating with Food Services Managers regarding staff assignment for caterings Booking additional temp labor and creating gate passes if needed Meeting with catering staff for briefing of catering set-ups Posting the daily catering paperwork at each food services outlet Coordinating with the BOH team to align with outlet consistency with product availability, food presentation, display/equipment requirements, plating, and set-up Receiving actual beverage consumption counts from catering staff Updating catering paperwork with beverage consumption Closing and charging the catering paperwork on the POS system Creating buffet labels and any necessary signs for the special events and catering Sending clients copies of receipts for special events and catering charges Other tasks and projects, as assigned WHAT YOU WILL NEED 5-8 years of managerial experience in catering and special events Flexible schedule including evenings, early mornings, and weekends, based on special events and catering schedule Organized and detail-oriented Positive attitude and a team player Stays calm under pressure Able to find immediate solutions for issues/problems that arise during special events and catering set-up Strong written and verbal communication skills We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $67,000.00-85,000.00 annually for California. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
