Production Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Synerfac is seeking a Production Supervisor for our client in Milford, VA. Our client has been in business since 1955, and supplies a comprehensive portfolio of pressure-impregnated kiln-dried lumber and plywood products for fire retardant and preservative applications.The Production Supervisor assists with plant production and material movements in a safe manner. Duties and responsibilities include safety compliance, management of the yard, and planning the flow and use of materials and human resources. - Ensure all environmental and safety procedures are followed and report all unsafe or non-compliant activities.- Ensure production goals, including downtime, productivity, and lead time, are met.- Lead and develop employees under their supervision. Conduct performance reviews for hourly team members as required.- Manage team member attendance and schedules to ensure full production.- Recognize and quickly correct any quality issues.- Monitor and enforce company policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.- Coordinate the movement of products through all warehouse locations.- Address all worker problems, complaints, or grievances and elevate as required.- Assist in hiring and terminating production personnel.- Demonstrate equipment operations and work safety procedures to new employees and/or assign experienced employees to train new workers. Be able to perform/train new employees effectively.- Maintain yard layout and general housekeeping.- Assist with motivating employees and improving production methods, equipment, performance, product quality, and efficiency.- Assist as needed for all physical inventory counts.- Other duties as assignedJob Requirements- Experience as a Production Supervisor in an industrial manufacturing environment- Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
