Truck Driver

Job Summary: The Truck Driver will perform all tasks required in the completion of all phases of product handling. This person will also provide deliveries to customers in a safe and timely manner and will complete all work through adherence to product specification, company policy and procedure and acceptable standards. ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: (Bold statements indicate the most important duties performed) * Performs warehousing and merchandise handling tasks in all phases of operations. * Performs light assembly tasks within the guidelines of product specifications. * Perform customer assistance by completion of required staging and assembly tasks. * Provide deliveries to customers in a safe and timely manner. * Assist in the completion of production orders. * Accurately load customers. (Inspect for damaged materials). * Unload and accurately receive incoming product. * Provide personal attention to customer requests or product needs during loading. * Maintain and practice company safety policies and procedures. * Provides assistance to Door Center Management or staff to safely conduct business. * Provide building and product security including inventory & damage control. * Operates vehicle to transport material to assigned destinations a minimum of 25 hours per week. * Maintains Federal/State required logs. * Assists with loading and unloading of truck. * Assumes responsibility for cash or company credit card and submits timely expense reports. * Perform other duties as assigned. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: * Must perform work in non-climate controlled warehouse facility. * Extended time on feet; walking distances up to 200 feet. * Manual dexterity and hand to eye coordination for operation of hand /power tools. * Frequent bending, walking, carrying and lifting (up to 75 pounds). MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: * Must have a valid CDL. * 2 years + experience driving. * High School Education. * Ability to learn product and work under pressure. * Must have a clean driving record. * Mechanically inclined. * Good telephone skills. * Ability to operate power tools. * Previous experience desirable. * Clear and effective written and oral communication skills.
