We are currently looking for a Production Supervisor,"¯at our DuBois Healthcare Laundry facility. We are looking for someone who is confident, reliable, and timely with excellent communication skills. Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Regular attendance. * Must be able to perform essential functions and meet minimum work standards with, or without accommodations. * Responsible for production and delivery of quality merchandise to our customer in a timely, cost effective and efficient manner. * Maintain a productive and personally satisfied workforce. * Administer and consistently enforce company policies. * Maintain union free environment through equitable and consistent treatment of all employees and by promoting open lines of communication between all levels of employees. * Ensure facility's compliance to safety protocols and OSHA rules and regulations. Introduce programs directed at creating awareness amongst all employees and that move us closer to achieving zero reportable accidents within your facility. * Implement standard operating procedures within departments and assure they are being followed to create consistency and standardization in all we do. * Interview, select, hire, develop, train and progressively counsel (if necessary) all direct reports in conjunction with Human Resources. * Ensure facility operates in compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws as well as company policy. * Responsible to monitor and make recommendations to improve our hiring process and retention programs to control production employee turnover. Our goal is to maintain at least industry average rate of turnover as reported by TRSA for typical healthcare facilities. * Responsible to work within approved budget for facility. * Ensure mandatory training is completed on time. * Conduct formal performance appraisals for all direct reports at least annually. Provide regular/ongoing feedback to all direct reports. Ensure employees are constantly aware of their achieved performance level. Must also assure employees are correctly counseled (progressively) and we make every effort to assist them in situations where they are performing below expectations. * Responsible to insure all employee terminations are performed properly and in conjunction with company policy and with Human Resources approval. * Responsible for all production, delivery, and maintenance in plant * Meet production schedule with a minimum of overtime while maintaining quality standards. * Work with sales/service personnel to resolve customer issues/problems. * Must have a thorough knowledge of all production jobs within department. * Take "off hour" phone calls. * Create and keep up to date a 12-week new employee training program for all production employees. Program should enable new employees to become familiar and proficient with all jobs in department. Documentation should be provided at several stages within the process to enable new employees to clearly understand their performance level upon the completion of each stage of the process. * Evaluate quality audits to assist with all aspects of the quality process including coaching and training with production employees. * Interact with customers as required. * Participate in linen start-ups as required. * Develop, cross-train and mentor employees for advancement/promotion opportunities within division. * Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: * Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills. * High School diploma or equivalent. * 3 - 5 years' experience working within a manufacturing facility is required. * Prior experience supervising others is highly preferred. * Proven elevated level of organization and analytical aptitude with problem solving abilities. * Ability to have a flexible schedule due to changing production level demands, extended shifts, and weekends occasionally.
