As the Host, you will be the first and last point of contact for our guests, setting the tone for the dining experience. You will be responsible for managing reservations, greeting and seating guests, and ensuring that the front of house runs smoothly. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a fine dining environment, a strong understanding of hospitality, and a natural ability to provide guests with an exceptional and personalized experience. Responsibilities : Greet guests upon arrival with warmth and professionalism, ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. Manage the seating chart efficiently, balancing reservations and walk-ins while maximizing the flow of guests to minimize wait times. Oversee the reservation system, ensuring accuracy, and timely seating arrangements. Handle all reservation inquiries via phone, email, or online platforms. Manage coat check. Ensure all guests are seated comfortably and promptly. Anticipate their needs and provide personalized service. Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues with tact and discretion. Work closely with servers, managers, and bartenders to ensure smooth service and timely seating. Communicate any guest preferences, special requests, or VIP details to the team to ensure a seamless dining experience. Maintain control of the guest flow by managing waitlists, ensuring proper seating arrangements, and keeping guests informed of expected wait times. Minimize disruptions to service by efficiently turning tables and preparing for new guests. Handle guest feedback with professionalism and empathy. Ensure the host stand and entry area are clean, organized, and inviting. Maintain a polished appearance and uphold the restaurant's reputation by providing a professional first impression to guests Recognize regulars and VIP and keep detailed notes of their visits and preferences to always surprise them with excellent service Qualifications : Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a fine dining or upscale restaurant environment A deep understanding of fine dining service standards, etiquette, and hospitality best practices Ability to handle multiple priorities and manage the flow of guests with poise and professionalism Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey information to guests and team members. Ability to speak confidently and professionally in person and on the phone Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once. Strong attention to detail in managing reservations, guest preferences, and seating arrangements A genuine passion for hospitality and deliver exception guest experiences Strong conflict resolution skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations professionally and maintain a calm demeanor under pressure Comfortable using reservation systems (Resy) Impeccable grooming and presentation, aligned with the standards of a high-end restaurant Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
