About us: Jubilee Marketplace opened its first doors in 1999-2000 in NYC. For 20-plus years, we have been one of the first supermarkets to offer organic, gourmet, and specialty products. Fast forward to 2023, when we open our biggest store in Greenpoint! We are pushing the boundaries of what a supermarket is by being the first supermarket to offer local, pasture-raised meat in a whole animal butcher shop. We dry age all of our own meats, have a cheese shop, a sustainable fish program, and we carry local organic produce with a local farm stand at the helm of the store front. We believe the future of supermarkets can be more than just common denominator goods. Qualifications Minimum 1+ Experience working as a deli clerk Basic knowledge of safe handling for knives and bladed equipment Exceptional guest service, organization, and merchandising skills. Ability to retain product knowledge and ability to remain knowledgeable about constant product updates Must be a team player Timeliness Strong eye for detail and quality control Sandwich prep proficiency  Food service experience up to 1+ years  Preferred Interest in positively sharing knowledge with guest Interest in self-guided education of various cheeses and deli proteins Responsibilities Work as a team to deliver a great experience for our guests Correct and timely preparation of various meat/ cheese products for the deli department Follow proper food safety guidelines Follow proper sanitation guidelines and maintain a clean station Coordinate positively with and assist other team members when necessary Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 25 lbs if necessary Comfortable walking or standing for long periods, often entire shifts Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Safe handling of equipment (deli slicers) Salary: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour Benefits: Employee discount Flexible schedule Shift: 8 hour shift Evening shift Morning shift Night shift
