Maintenance Technician - Asta

Overview Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service to assure continuous production as scheduled. Responsibilities * Perform scheduled preventative maintenance repairs of production equipment per machine service instructions or plant equipment schedule during assigned production shift. * Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during assigned production shift, and when "on call." * Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs. * Repair and re-build a variety of production and processing equipment. Perform machine mechanic duties including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines. * Perform building maintenance as needed for the office and plant. * Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service * Comply with all OSHA Safety and Health rules and wear personal protective equipment at all times as required. * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent required. Apprenticeship program preferred. * Two or more years of previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience. * Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. * Must have knowledge of email and preventative maintenance database systems. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * Must regularly lift up to 50 pounds. * Regularly required to walk, stand, and bend. * Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
