Position Description: The Shipping Specialist is responsible for packaging, shipping, and handling computer equipment to ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers and internal departments. This role involves maintaining a clean and organized workspace, adhering to quality standards, and collaborating in a team environment to meet operational goals. Position Location: Onsite, New Hartford, New York Reports To: Group Leader, Shipping What We're Looking For: Entrees (Requirements): * High school diploma or equivalent required; * 1-2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, logistics, or a similar environment preferred. * Technical Skills: Basic computer skills required, with proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred. * Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as part of daily responsibilities. * Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy in shipping, documentation, and process execution. * Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions effectively. * Adaptability: Willingness to learn on the job and adapt to changing priorities. Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning: * Packaging and Shipping Management: Take ownership of the end-to-end process for packaging and shipping computer equipment, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company standards. * Shipping System Expertise: Utilize current shipping systems to prepare shipments, generate labels, and complete required documentation efficiently and accurately. * Workspace Organization: Maintain a clean and orderly work environment by applying 5S methodology, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to company policies. * Team Collaboration: Work effectively in a team environment, contributing to shared goals and fostering a positive workplace culture. * Quality Assurance: Ensure all work aligns with the corporation's Quality Policy, focusing on delivering exceptional results and continuous improvement.
