General Summary: The Behavioral Health Manager performs administrative and supervisory duties to manage SCFHC Behavior Health & Substance Abuse services and programs. Oversees all State and Federal funding, including grants for prevention services. Ensure all State and Federal funds are used in accordance with established rules and regulations. The Behavioral Health Manager is responsible for providing direct patient care through psychotherapy, assessments, psychological testing, and evaluation of statutory questions, substance abuse interventions and crisis interventions. Is responsible for developing and maintaining positive relations with all clinic staff functions in order to support full integration of the behavioral health program within the medical services offer at SCFHC. • Manage services to facilitate integrated care delivery as part of the Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) • Manage services provided in collaboration with the various health plans Behavioral Health Is contracted with. • Ensure that staff document services, encounters, insurance coverage, and billing detail in NEXTGEN and/or other charting and data collection systems as appropriate in order to facilitate billing, data submission, and report generation. • Ensure that services/program provided adhere to all applicable professional, legal and ethical standards set by set by FQHCs, HRSA, DHCS, and other oversight agencies. • Manage program to meet revenue, expense, and growth goals as adopted by the Board of Directors. • Work collaboratively with the Clinic Operations Management and administrative front office staff to ensure that data collection and documentation requirements are met. Jointly oversee the preparation of statistical and program reports for planning and contract monitoring purposes for clinically related programs. • Manage the personnel activities of the Behavioral Health clinicians, including staff recruitment, professional development and supervision. • Prepares written reports, articles for publication, and requests for proposals/grants appropriate to BH subject matter. • Develops, maintains and reports on activities of the Continuous Quality Improvement programs, including Peer reviews and Quality Improvement indicators. • Reviews, establishes, and maintains patient care protocols and standards of care, ensuring that all federal and State policies, regulations, and guidelines for patient care are met in coordination with the Chief medical Officer and Behavioral Health Services Director • Responsible for the supervision and training of ASWs • Reviews and renders determination on all patient complaints/grievances regarding behavioral clinical care by Behavioral Health Clinicians Job Posting Qualifications and Requirements: • BA Degree required • Doctoral Degree in behavioral health field and extensive relate clinical and administrative experience preferred • 3-year experience in a community clinic, is required • Recent clinical experience providing direct mental health services to individuals and /or groups using a brief therapy model.
