The Production Supervisor oversees the efficient planning, manufacturing, and fulfillment of customer label orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of high-quality products. Embracing a servant leadership approach, this role focuses on supporting and developing reporting staff to achieve their best performance. The Production Supervisor is pivotal in leading and fostering a collaborative production team, optimizing processes through regular analysis, and addressing any issues that may affect delivery, quality, or profitability. By working closely with leadership and cross-departmental teams, the Production Supervisor drives continuous improvement initiatives and maintains the highest standards of production excellence. Additionally, this position is responsible for performance management, training, and mentoring staff to support their professional growth and ensure the department's success.Essential Functions Provide effective leadership to the production team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture. Coordinate the production schedule and regularly analyze results within the Label Management software system for continual process improvement. Troubleshoot individual orders at risk of missing targets for delivery, quality, or profitability, ensuring timely resolutions. Collaborate with leadership to review and suggest improvements on Job Cost Analysis. Train and develop production staff on an ongoing basis to enhance their skills and performance. Assist in setting up and operating complex jobs that require precise color, unique designs, or specialty materials when needed. Provide timely feedback and conduct performance reviews for all direct reports. Mentor and develop team members to ensure their professional growth. Ensure the quality of produced materials, including performing quality sign-offs on all production runs. Work cross-departmentally on effective planning, ordering, and business improvement projects.Supervisory Duties This position manages all production staff and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of said employees. Skills/ Abilities Mechanical Aptitude (desired but not required including prior work with printing machinery.) Strong attention to detail and quality conscious. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Solid understanding of Microsoft Suites Strong leadership skills and commitment to be a team player. Ability to apply fundamental algebra and geometry concepts, including calculating percentages and other measurements. Capable of accurately reading and interpreting measurements using a ruler.Required Education and ExperienceA two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, and at least 3 years director or related experience Electronic Imaging Materials also considers equivalent combinations of education/certifications and experience.
