Job Description:Production Supervisor- 3rd ShiftThe Production Supervisor is responsible for the safety and manufacturing activities in the assigned departments to obtain desired quality and quantity of production at the lowest possible cost of all employees under direct supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsures that workers are wearing proper safety equipment and observing safety rulesDrives engagement with the workforce to ensure standard work is established and followed, relative to safety proceduresUtilizes the Job Safety Analysis (J.S.A.) to reduce safety risksDirectly supervises production workers performing unskilled to semi-skilled manufacturing operations in the assigned DepartmentLeads functional area in the use of Colfax Business System (C.B.S.) tools, including but not limited to, SMART Teams, Lifeguard Teams, Find It Fix It, as well as monitoring and correcting issues using the Area BoardParticipates in and supports sustainment of Kaizen events. This includes Major events as well as Quick kaizens and Just Do It activitiesAssures that production meets all requirements relative to Safety, Quality, Productivity, Cost and DeliveryAdvises all Production and Support functions of issues using excellent communication skillsConducts on-the-job training of employees in assigned area. Assures a qualified, trained workforceEnsures that housekeeping of the assigned production area meets the standards set by managementKeeps Production Manager advised regarding day to day operations and alerts the manager of any problems requiring attentionTargeted Experience & RequirementsAssociate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred5 or more years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing requiredMust be able to work overtime as needed including weekend overtime to meet business needsAdditional Key AttributesAbility to supervise personnel to achieve maximum performanceMust show ability to solve problems, show strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skillsMust have practical knowledge of and ability to interpret the Collective Bargaining Agreement.Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environmentHRIS systems knowledge, WorkDay preferredStrong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsProven organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work on a variety of concurrent projects, with supervision, in a time sensitive mannerProactive, customer focused and results orientedDemonstrate business maturity and integrity; possess a high degree of tact, diplomacy and discretionStrong follow through, accountability, initiative and flexibility requiredMust be authorized to work in the United States; this position will not sponsor applicants for work visasPay Range:$66,788.00-$77,838.00
