Role Value Proposition: As a MetLife Regional Market Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving sales production and maintaining a book of business of customers with 2 to 500 employees. You will have the opportunity to distribute MetLife's Group Benefits portfolio which includes life, dental, disability, vision, group legal, accident & health, whole life, Pet and more. The MetLife Regional Market Account Executive is responsible for the top and bottom-line performance of their book of business. This role will be part of the exciting NY Metro West team and cover territories across the northern half of New Jersey plus Rockland County. Key Responsibilities: * Identify and foster new relationships * Sell Group Benefits products and services through brokers and General Agents * Grow the book of business through proactive product sales, upsells, and renewals, within assigned territory. Maintain ongoing relationships with existing customers and brokers. Partner with key internal resources (Client Service team) to identify opportunities to grow existing relationships. * Develop a strategic sales approach to attain new clients based on buying influences, risk factors and business objectives. * Recognize, shape and deliver profitable deals and anticipate strategic developments to the mutual benefit of the customer, broker and MetLife. * Leverage the full suite of MetLife's benefit offerings to position multi-product offerings for comprehensive benefit solutions. * Participate in strategic account planning processes to build lasting relationships with clients and brokers through open communications around mutual objectives. * Effectively partner and collaborate with MetLife's Product, Marketing, Client Services, Legal, Underwriting and Finance organizations as needed. * Track sales and prospecting activity, progress, and strategies. * Participate in setting expectations and driving successful implementation experience. * Perform other related duties as assigned or required Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills: * 2+ years previous experience successfully selling/servicing related products. * Ability to attain appropriate licensing as required, including Life & Health and Property & Casualty licenses, or obtain within six months of hire * Excellent partnership and influencing skills * Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities * Highly skilled at listening to prospect needs and translating into workable solutions * Ability to probe for additional detail and to identify root cause or unstated needs * Strategic and creative thinking skills * Strong organizational skills and highly developed ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively * Ownership mentality and natural curiosity * Highly adaptable and capable of working in a dynamic environment * Accomplished change management leader, able to operate effectively in a highly matrix environment. * High School diploma or equivalent The salary range for applicants for this position is Base + Incentive.
