Overview or Role: This position offers a unique opportunity to lead the construction, opening, and operational management of a new restaurant set to open in 2026. The restaurant will feature a 100-seat dining room, an expansive bar program, and a private event space. Before the opening, the General Manager will work closely with the Director of Operations to support construction management, contributing to design, layout, and ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. The General Manager will also be responsible for hiring and training the opening team, ensuring a seamless integration of the company's culture into this exciting new venture. The role emphasizes long-term profitability, operational excellence, and a commitment to fostering a high-performance culture aligned with the organization's values, which include Hospitality, Excellence, Education, and Passion. Reports To: Director of Operations Direct Reports: Management Team Assistant General Manager Wine Director Service Director Dining Room Managers Guest Relations/Events Manager Hourly Team Duties and Responsibilities Hiring and Staffing Recruit, hire, and retain a talented and motivated team that embodies the brand's core values. Develop career pathways to promote internal growth and identify seasoned professionals for leadership roles. Maintain appropriate staffing levels to ensure operational efficiency and a healthy work-life balance for the team. Build and sustain relationships within the hospitality industry to attract top talent. Training and Development Design and oversee training programs for both management and hourly staff, ensuring alignment with brand standards. Foster a mentorship culture, empowering team members to innovate and take ownership of their roles. Ensure educational programs remain dynamic and impactful, providing continuous opportunities for growth and learning. Financial Performance Lead financial planning and budgeting efforts to achieve long-term profitability. Leverage the bar program and private event space to maximize revenue streams. Monitor and optimize financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost control and revenue growth. Collaborate on strategies to manage reservations effectively and enhance overall revenue potential. Culture and Innovation Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging work environment that encourages creativity and collaboration. Qualifications Leadership Experience: Minimum 5 years in hospitality management, with a proven track record of success in restaurant openings preferred. Operational Expertise: Deep understanding of managing complex operations, including bar programs and private events. Financial Acumen: Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
