This includes accurately and efficiently receiving a high volume of internally generated production sheets and cost transfers. Accuracy in identifying and correcting item detail discrepancies; entering data into the POS system is essential in ensuring the timely and accurate inventory levels. Communication between the General Manager, Head Grower, Shipping Coordinator and Plant Line Supervisor is required.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.Ensure that inventory production levels are continually and accurately updated in the POS systemWork with the Production-Line Supervisor to collect and maintain all documentation for the weekly production sheets ensuring all item quantities and pricing are accurately matchedComplete the timely and accurate entering of production details, including inter-company receivers into the POS systemComplete all required item adjustments based on weekly dead and damaged lists as provided and directed by the Head GrowerCoordinate with General Manager on the creation of new item codes to continually develop and maintain the annual variety listCommunicate new and updated item details including price, size, name and system coding requirements to the Plant-Line Supervisor in a timely and accurate mannerSupport the Shipping Supervisor complete the end of month closing process completing all product losses, cost transfers and customer invoices in a timely and accurate mannerSupport the periodical and year-end physical counts in support of the General Manager to accurately report items within the POS system checking for accuracy of item labels, pricing, and quantitiesGenerate all inventory related reports as requested by the General Manager in a timely and accurate mannerMaintain organized systems, files, and office space, keeping detailed notes and digital records in accordance with company policies and proceduresProcess all external and wholesale transactions through the POS system as requiredSupport the General Manager and Head Grower with all additional operational tasks as directedCOMPETENCIESWell-organizedEffective time management working within set deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skillsMaintains effective working relationships with colleagues both inside and outside of the organizationAttention to detailAbility to work independentlyStrong project management skills and initiativePREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in business administration, management, horticultural studies or other related field or 3+ years of experience in inventory management, receiving or progressive manufacturing management position required. Work experience in the horticultural or crop production preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, Excel, Word, and Outlook. Prior experience working with POS system required, CounterPoint preferred.WORK ENVIRONMENTThis job operates in an active greenhouse and warehouse environment. This job may be either indoors or outdoors or both.
