The Bayshore on HHI is recruiting for a hospitality focused maintenance tech to join our team! We are a 24/7/265 business and prefer someone willing to work either a Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday schedule to accommodate the business needs of our retirement community. Facilitating and working to turn apartments and villas effectively in a very timely manner is a large responsibility of this position. We are an upscale luxury retirement community with a high expectation of hospitality and professionalism so candidates are expected to be able to understand this and perform accordingly. Ability to multi task and prioritize will be key for the ideal candidate based on assignments given by the Plant Director Starting Range is $21+/hr. Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of a maintenance tech * May help supervise the Plant Operations Department, training, evaluating, and counseling within established policies and procedures. * Maintain equipment, building, utilities and grounds with an adequate preventative maintenance program. Arrange for maintenance contracts as necessary. * Maintain the emergency power generating equipment along with all fire and life safety equipment and fire drill and safety inspection reports. * Provide residents and staff with a timely and effective response to service requests. * Ensure all equipment and systems function properly and safely. Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations/ordinances. * Participate in the planning of the annual departmental budget, responsible to maintain all expenditures for department to remain within budget allowances, review monthly operating statement for accuracy and explains variances to budget. * Maintain proper level of service repair parts for electrical, plumbing, laundry, lighting, refrigeration, HVAC, hardware, locks, batteries, tools, expendable supplies, emergency telephone and security equipment based on past and expected usage. Maintain and adjust computerized controls for HVAC and other equipment as necessary. Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have: * High School diploma * Associates Degree or equivalent in relevant education, training and experience * Maintenance experience preferred Many roles in the community may require that we ask about your vaccination status.
