Job Description - PRINCIPAL SCIENTIST (2507029780W) Principal Scientist, Global Wound Care This position reports to the R&D Associate Director TOPICAL CARE and will be located in Summit, NJ. Role reports to: R&D Associate Director TOPICAL CARE Location: Summit, NJ; Kenvue is currently in the process of moving its Global Headquarters from Skillman, NJ to Summit, NJ. This role is based in Summit, NJ but there may be a period of time during the transition that you must report to Skillman, NJ. Travel Requirement: 10% Pay: $109k-$149,500k What you will do The Global Wound Care R&D Principal Scientist is responsible for leading and managing research and development projects and providing technical guidance to the team. You will also be responsible for developing new products for the global market, advancing new scientific methodologies, exploring upstream technologies for future innovation and building consumer-centric claims strategy. Wound Care products range from medical devices, over-the-counter topical antiseptics and antibiotics. You need to be passionate about consumer needs, consumer products and science. You will be working with marketing teams, consumer scientists, packaging engineers, clinical scientists, analytical scientists, regulatory associates, quality & process development teams. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage R&D projects to drive new product launches Identify and evaluate new technologies and scientific advancements to develop long term innovation strategy Participate and contribute to marketing discussions on innovation and claims strategy Develop strong substantiation on consumer-meaningful claims Advance scientific methodologies that can translate technical product attributes into consumer-relevant product benefits Participate and collaborate in consumer research process Publish research findings in scientific journals and present at conferences to advance the company's reputation as a thought leader in the industry Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to drive innovation and stay up-to-date on industry trends What we are looking for Experience and Skills: Required Qualifications B.S. in a scientific discipline with a focus on research and development Experience in consumer products or medical device or OTC drug product development Experience in consumer research At least 6 years of product development or research experience Proficiency in cGMPs Proven track record of leading and managing successful R&D projects Expertise in a variety of scientific techniques and methodologies Strong analytical, problem-solving and collaboration skills Ability to collaborate & influence technical and business partners Ability to work independently, while managing multiple priorities Desired Qualifications Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to think creatively and outside the box Prior experience in external innovation M.S. or PhD in a scientific discipline.
