About Us Founded in 1852, GSC is a member of the University System of Georgia. The college has a distinctive legacy of excellent scholarship and service. GSC offers nearly 30 degrees, which includes multiple associate and baccalaureate pathways for students. With an enrollment of over 3,100 students, GSC offers an intimate academic setting with state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories. In this setting, students receive individualized attention that only a small college with dedicated faculty and staff can provide. Job Summary Community Athletic Game Day Operation/Events assistant to work under the direction of the Athletic Director and Coaching Staff in all aspects of GSC hosted events. Responsibilities Duties include but are not limited to the following: facility set up and break down, ticketing, concessions, event management staffing, break down and post-event clean up. Required Qualifications Must be enrolled at Gordon State College in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker. The successful candidate will be highly motivated to represent GSC Athletics in a positive manner. Must be able to work evenings, and/or weekends as needed. Flexible schedules are available. Preferred Qualifications A desired interest to work in the sports industry is appreciated, but not necessary. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Good communication and time management skills are assumed qualities of every successful candidate. Willingness to perform required manual labor (lifting, carrying, long periods of standing and/or walking), and other duties as assigned. Candidates should be comfortable in front of large crowds, be willing to work with people, be a team player, and follow through with tasks assigned to them.
