Apply Job Type Full-time Description At Ryan Lawn & Tree we are seeking an experienced and passionate Landscape Plant Maintenance Specialist to join our team to lead our landscape maintenance division. This role is integral to developing, enhancing, and maintaining exquisite garden landscapes for our clients. The ideal candidate will possess deep horticultural knowledge, creative design skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional client service. This position offers the opportunity to work on some of the most prestigious residential properties, where your expertise will directly contribute to creating and sustaining vibrant, healthy, and beautiful gardens. This role demands a blend of creativity, precision, and a deep passion for horticulture. What does a Landscape Plant Maintenance Specialist do? * Develop and execute seasonal maintenance plans to ensure landscapes remain vibrant and healthy year-round, including pruning, mulching, planting, and disease management. * Provide expert advice on plant selection, garden design, and landscape improvement to clients, ensuring their vision is accurately translated into the landscape. * Implement sustainable gardening practices and introduce innovative solutions to enhance environmental biodiversity and resilience. * Design, install and maintain beautiful, vibrate season color rotations in beds and planter pots * Manage a portfolio of residential properties, scheduling regular visits to conduct maintenance services and maintaining detailed records of service completed. * Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in horticulture, garden design, and sustainable practices. * Work well independently as well as on a team while caring for customer properties. * Interact professionally with customers on a daily basis communicating the process and expectations of services. * Continue on the job training for all aspects of RYAN provided services along with recommendations for other RYAN services as needed on their property. Requirements * A degree in Horticulture, Botany, or a related field, with a solid understanding of plant physiology, soil science, and landscape design. * At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a high-end private estate, public garden, or luxury resort setting. * Expert knowledge of a wide range of plant species, including their care requirements, maintenance timelines, and landscape application to achieve suitability in different environments. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, team members, and suppliers. * Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required to meet client needs and project timelines. * Proficiency in the use of horticultural tools, equipment, and technology. * Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. * A genuine passion for horticulture and creating beautiful, sustainable outdoor spaces. * Valid driver's license * Ability to obtain DOT medical certification * Ability to lift 50lbs * Ability to push/pull objects while walking up to 3 miles a day Why work at RYAN?
