We are currently seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Production Supervisor to join our team and lead our 2nd shift operations. This position will be responsible for overseeing production processes, ensuring safety and quality standards, and optimizing efficiency.Position Overview:The 2nd Shift Production Supervisor will manage daily operations on the second shift (Monday - Thursday, 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM) in the manufacturing facility. The supervisor will be responsible for ensuring that production goals are met, employees are engaged, and safety and quality standards are strictly followed. This role requires a hands-on leader who is capable of problem-solving, driving productivity, and maintaining a positive work environment.Key Responsibilities: Production Supervision: Oversee and manage production operations on the 2nd shift, ensuring that production targets, quality standards, and safety protocols are met. Lead and direct a team of operators, technicians, and laborers to efficiently and safely produce high-quality products. Ensure timely and accurate completion of daily production schedules and meet customer demand. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, minimizing downtime and maintaining product quality. Team Leadership & Development: Provide direction, coaching, and leadership to the production team to ensure optimal performance and morale. Develop and implement training plans for team members to enhance their technical skills and job performance. Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to encourage continuous improvement. Safety & Compliance: Enforce all safety regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment. Conduct regular safety audits, identify hazards, and implement corrective actions to prevent accidents and injuries. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and food safety standards (if applicable). Quality Control & Continuous Improvement: Monitor production quality throughout the shift to ensure compliance with product specifications and standards. Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality issues. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, waste reduction, and cost control. Communication & Coordination: Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams (quality control, maintenance, inventory, etc.) to ensure smooth operations. Maintain accurate records of production activities, downtime, and other performance metrics. Report on shift performance, including production volume, quality issues, and safety incidents, to the Production Manager. Process Optimization & Troubleshooting: Identify areas of inefficiency in production and recommend process improvements. Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment or operational issues to maintain production flow. Ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of machinery and equipment in coordination with the maintenance team. Staffing & Scheduling: Manage staffing levels to ensure adequate coverage for the 2nd shift. Schedule employees according to production needs and ensure the team is prepared for scheduled production runs. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the CPG industry. Strong understanding of production processes, equipment, and quality control. Proven experience in team leadership, employee development, and performance management. Solid problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization. Familiarity with safety regulations and standards in manufacturing. Ability to work a 2nd shift schedule (Monday - Thursday, 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet production deadlines. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma (preferred but not required).Working Conditions: Full-time, 2nd shift (Monday - Thursday, 3:00 PM to 3:00 AM). Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required, based on production needs.
