Overview and Responsibilities: We are looking for a Freelance Manager, Government Relations & Special Projects to join the team! This person will report to the Paramount Government Relations office in Washington, DC. This role will promote the company's work with key constituencies in Washington, DC; plan, organize and coordinate special events; administer Paramount Global's Political Action Committee (PAC); and generally, assist the Government Relations office. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manage Paramount's PAC including distributing and tracking the annual PAC solicitation, tracking the PAC budget, working with external compliance firm on contributions, and serving as a liaison between compliance and payroll teams Prepare lobbying disclosure filings Lead all aspects of special projects and events hosted by Paramount and its brands, or in conjunction with outside political and third-party groups (guest lists, invites, programming, swag, etc.) Coordinate regular screenings of Paramount films and television series Manage special events requests Assist with planning and general logistics associated with Congressional visits to Paramount's headquarters in NYC or divisional offices, including Paramount Studios in California Maintain internal and external contact and distribution lists Assist in preparing Government Relations presentations for internal meetings Coordinate and manage internal Government Relations staff meetings Other duties as assigned Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree 5+ years of experience in the public affairs sector, preferably with a background in political fundraising Political fundraising background preferred Knowledge and experience in federal political fundraising and PACs Familiarity with Congressional ethics restrictions Demonstrated experience organizing and managing special events in a congressional environment or government affairs position Expertise and understanding of Capitol Hill Additional Qualifications: Superb communication, interpersonal and organizational skills Possess sound judgment and strong acumen Self-motivation and attention to detail Ability to work and communicate with senior level corporate executives Handle multiple projects with tight deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams Additional Information Hiring Salary Range: $100,000.0 - 160,000.0. The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
