Posted onNov 04, 2024 Profile A law firm in Fort Lauderdale, FL, is seeking an Intellectual Property Attorney with the following qualifications: Job Overview: Work closely with other partners and senior associates on patent and trademark issues. Significant experience in Patent and Trademark Litigation. Preferably admitted to the Patent Bar. 8-12 years of patent and trademark litigation and dispute resolution experience practicing in a law firm. Strong litigation skills, excellent drafting and communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within deadlines and on a team. Engineering or computer science degree or significant experience litigating patents in these technology areas. Member of the Florida Bar or in the process of becoming one. Duties: Handle patent and trademark litigation cases. Provide legal counsel on intellectual property matters. Conduct legal research and analysis. Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs. Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts. Participate in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution processes. Stay updated on changes in intellectual property laws and regulations. Requirements: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice law in Florida. Admitted to the Patent Bar (preferred). 8-12 years of experience in patent and trademark litigation. Strong litigation skills and experience in dispute resolution. Excellent drafting and communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure. Ability to work effectively within a team. Education and Certifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Admission to the Florida Bar. Admission to the Patent Bar (preferred). Skills: Excellent drafting and communication skills. Exceptional attention to detail. Ability to work effectively within deadlines and on a team. Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
