SUMMARY Partner with Producers on servicing existing accounts and soliciting new business. Provide clients with expert claims consultation and reviews on complex clients and claims. Identify and recommend process improvements to cost-effectiveness, compliance, and client servicing. Responsible for providing coverage and policy interpretation on complex claims for many lines of overlapping coverage and legal issues. Independent responsibility for managing and coordinating complex claims between production, carrier(s), lawyers, vendors, and other internal and external stakeholders. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manages claims status and prompts various parties, brokers, staff, clients, and adjusters to take the next step, including prepayment, partial payment, gathering information, and working with subrogation contacts. Partners with client legal counsel on coverage, claims, and strategy for settlement. Manages primarily medium to large, complex claims. Manages and oversees claims data in the database, including claims updates, running claims runs, analyzing claims information, and preparing information for underwriting and/or client review. Prepares coverage arguments for client advocacy and forms coverage positions as a client advocate. Provides coverage/policy interpretation for large property and casualty claims. Prepares and analyzes loss valuations. Attends claims meetings with clients, carriers, legal counsel, and adjusters to review claim status and resolve and settle issues. Provides follow-up calls and written correspondence and keeps records of all work done on behalf of our clients. Partners with the client on case preparation and support as needed. Uses negotiation skills to provide the best possible outcome for clients as needed. Builds and establishes strong relationships with carriers, adjusters, and clients. Develops training materials with a client and service team perspective for coverage reviews, loss reporting procedures, and claims guidelines in handling various situations. Delivers claims training in person and client workspace as needed. Performs all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education. Ten (10) or more years of related work experience. Substantial experience with Commercial P&C claims handling and adjusting. Juris Doctor, CPA, or other professional license preferred. Possession of CPCU, AIC, and/or ARM preferred. Valid Property and Casualty Broker-Agent license preferred. SKILLS In-depth knowledge of all commonly encountered P&C insurance coverage and Risk Management concepts and techniques. Proficient in Microsoft Office products. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good leadership, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Advanced analytical skills.
