Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in the insurance industry, based in Owings Mills, Maryland. As a Customer Service Representative, your main role will be to support life insurance producers and agency staff with their ongoing and pending policies. This role involves handling inbound and outbound calls, as well as email communication in a call-center environment. Responsibilities: - Handle inbound and outbound calls to assist life insurance sales agents and agency staff with their inquiries about compensation, licensing, pending/in-force business, website, and product questions. - Use multiple systems to provide sales agents/agencies with status updates, including the agent portal, ID3, and ImageRight, and navigate through document workflow systems. - Support agents/agency staff by providing them with detailed knowledge of traditional life and annuity products. - Participate in processing and/or reviewing certain applications, as part of assisting other areas of Insurance Services. - Engage in email correspondence to follow up on pending items. - Maintain a high level of customer service while answering inquiries and processing customer applications. - Effectively use Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word for data entry and order entry tasks. - Schedule appointments as needed, ensuring a seamless customer experience. Requirements - Proficiency in answering inbound calls, demonstrating excellent telephone etiquette and customer service skills. - Prior experience in a call center customer service role is essential. - Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to handle customer queries and complaints in a detail oriented and efficient manner. - Proficient in data entry tasks, ensuring accurate and timely input of customer information. - Expertise in email correspondence, able to respond to customer inquiries and issues in a detail oriented and timely manner. - Ability to manage both inbound and outbound calls, prioritizing tasks to ensure optimal customer satisfaction. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, capable of creating spreadsheets, managing data, and performing basic calculations. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, able to create, edit, and format documents as per requirement. - Experience in order entry, ensuring all customer orders are accurately recorded and processed. - Ability to schedule appointments effectively, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
