Job Details Job Location: Corporate Office - Franklin, WI Position Type: Full Time Salary Range: Undisclosed Job Shift: Day Description Position Summary: The Sales account executive will be responsible for assisting the sales director in identifying key sales opportunities within a customer base to include all channels with a focus on leading the grocery channel but will assist where needed. Responsibilities include working directly with retailers and brokers partners to learn/understand their needs while continuing to grow the grocery channel with focus on profitability. Additionally, building a plan to identify new customer opportunities and assist the Sales Director in the development, implementation and monitoring of sales strategies for all brands and accounts where needed. The individual will possess the drive and passion to access, develop, and implement all aspects of the annual sales plan in support of organizational strategy and objectives. Reports to: Director of Domestic Sales Functional Responsibilities: * Customer relationships * Establish and maintain good relationships with customer accounts. This includes negotiating and closing agreements with large retailers * Ability to work through strategic partnerships or directly with retailers * Sales strategy * Assist Sales Director with developing the short term and long-range strategies, plans, and budgets based on corporate sales goals and growth objectives * Develop and implement sales strategies that align with the company's goals. This includes understanding market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs * Identify new opportunities while bolstering and improving our relationships within the Grocery channel to grow sales * Managing all Sales "Functions" to include: * Annual Planning - Work with Sales Director to establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales goals for broker network; projects expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products * Assist Sales Operations with identifying and communicating any key trends that show risks in specific product SKU's, as well as assist in reporting of customer display activity and/or needs * Educate executive management team current on important developments, trends, etc., in areas which can affect our business, i.e., competition, customer end markets, etc. * Assist the Sales Director where needed to build and implement strategic growth initiatives * Sales Presentations - Create with sales presentations with regards to information, sales data and content * Managing Sales Results - Identify consumer gaps for innovations through data, consumer insights, internally derived insights, and qual/quant consumer market research * Trade Spend Management - Provide Finance with ROI analysis and reporting against what is planned by business partners Required Experience, Desired Skills & Qualifications: * 4+ years of sales experience (preferably in an CPG environment). * Experience managing a national customer and/or wholesaler/distributor * Experience in the Grocery Channel, Kroger preferred * Career skills with influential selling and customer management * Capability in working with forecasts management, reporting and creating customer sales presentations * Understanding of Financial spreadsheets and business plans * Experience working within a small, fast paced, tight knit, entrepreneurial environment. * Strong individual contributor capable of operating without large support staffs. * Excellent communication, influencing and problem solving skills. * Track record of meeting and/or exceeding expectations * Ability to organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously * Strong analytical and process/metric management capabilities * Team player with recognized collaboration and problem solving capabilities * Ability to build relationships, present ideas, and lead people to support business goals * Seeking to grow and excel their professional career with a small, fast paced, tight knit, entrepreneurial environment Educational Requirements: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field or equivalent education and work experience Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
