HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO The School of Public Health - Office of Research and Sponsored Programs is seeking a full-time Grants & Contracts Officer III to provide critical support for the administration of sponsored research awards within the School of Public Health (SPH). The incumbent will be responsible for a wide range of post-award activities, ensuring compliance with university, sponsor, and regulatory requirements. Post Award Administration * Process MSS transactions for faculty and staff supported by sponsored funds. * Submit/request appropriate Prior Period Adjustments (PPAs) to correct effort distributions. * Conduct in-depth reviews of award documents and notifications. * Provide monthly expenditure reviews to faculty with sponsored awards. * Prepare, route, and submit post-award amendment requests, including (but not limited to): internal budget realignments, no-cost extensions, prior approval requests, and annual progress and financial reports. * Approve and/or monitor accounting/procurement expenditures in accordance with regulatory and university practices. * Provide direct support to staff with accounts payable/receivable processes. * Work with faculty and staff to reconcile monthly expenditures and resolve budgetary, invoicing, and other contractual issues. Guidance and Support * Provide guidance and support to the post-award team. * Advise faculty on interpreting award terms and conditions. * Assist faculty in making informed decisions regarding their budgets, deliverables, payment schedules, and overall project management. Correspondence and Liaison * Serve as the primary post-award point of contact for assigned units/faculty. * Act as a liaison between SPH and OSPA, and when appropriate, sponsoring agencies on all grants and contracts. * Maintain accurate and organized records in a shared location. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Knowledge of grants and contracts, administrative and budget activities, processes, and procedures. * Knowledge of basic computer operations and software, such as spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and presentations. * Effective time management and organizational skills. * Effective oral and verbal communication with external and internal customers. * Ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, and exhibit excellent customer service Other Duties as Assigned * Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Minimum Requirements: * Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
