Global Markets Engineering collaborates directly with Sales, Trading, and Technology teams to build, improve and automate sales and trading capabilities. The ideal candidate will have experience with Commodities or FX trading and the analytic and technical skills to build and improve our capabilities in pricing, position/inventory management, risk management and trading. Responsibilities Collaborate directly with colleagues across Sales, Trading, Engineering and Technology to identify opportunities to improve analytics and trading; Communicate directly with stakeholders to understand requirements; Participate in strategic architectural and design decisions; Development of analytical tools and trading systems in an agile/rapid release environment; Approximately 20% of time is expected to be spent in support of deployed applications. Qualifications A post-secondary degree in a technical or quantitative field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience; At least 3 years of relevant experience in developing analytics or trading software; Strong development skills ideally with C++ and Python; Experience with Commodities or FX pricing, risk and trading; Strong communication skills including with the ability to work with a range of colleagues including technologists, quants, traders and sales people. Salary: $250,000 USD Salary : Pay Type: SalariedThe above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type. Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.
