Camp Pine Tree After Care Managers

Under the supervision of the Camp Pine Tree Managers and full time Recreation personnel, the After Care Manager oversees the operations of Camp Pine Tree's after care program. The After Care Manager works with about 3-4 camp staff to execute daily plans for after care (2:30-5:30pm). The After Care Manager must further the Greenbelt Recreation summer camp mission through their personal conduct, attitude, and leadership, setting the standard for the entire camp. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: * 21 years or older. * Current First Aid and CPR Certification preferred. * Experience in education, recreation, or related fields preferred. * Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. * Must be available for entire camp season (Monday-Friday, June 23 - August 22, 2025) EXPECTATIONS/RESPONSIBILITES * Plan daily after care activities. * Work with Camp Pine Tree Managers in scheduling staff for after care. * Manage staff assigned to work after care shifts. * Constantly monitor children enrolled in after care to dictate staff placement. * Greet parents picking up their children. * Maintain open line of communication between the camp and camper parents with regard to camp activities, behavior issues, and other pertinent topics. * Prepare necessary rosters and sign in and sign out sheets. * Modify the after care schedule as necessary. * Ensure proper camper behavior through the summer camp 3 R's policy and address any behavior concerns. * Ensure proper usage of supplies, facilities, and equipment. * Ensure proper documentation of all first aid, incident, and accident occurrences. * Maintain a positive, pro-active demeanor. * Assist camp managers in completing mid-season and end of summer evaluations of camp staff assigned after care shifts.
