Tradesmen International is immediately hiring skilled Shipfitters for projects located in and around Philadelphia, PA. This is job offers multiple shifts with a pay rate of up to $33/hour based on experience & skill level.  If you are a Shipfitter and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career!  Job Scope:Fabricate, assemble, & install structural components such as bulkheads, frames, & hull sections using various metalworking techniques & equipmentMeasure, cut, & shape parts together using appropriate techniques & equipmentInstall & fit components and systems including piping, ventilations, ducts, & machinery supports in accordance with project plans & specificationsPerform repairs & modifications to existing ship structures as neededInspect work pieces and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards & regulatory requirementsFollow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment Collaborate with other tradespeople, engineers, & project managers to ensure efficient project executionMaintain accurate records of work performed & materials usedOther tasks as assignedRequirements:5+ Years of Experience as a Shipfitter or in a similar role; Preferably in a Maritime Shipbuilding EnvironmentProficient in reading & interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, & specificationsMust pass background checkStrong welding & metalworking skills; experience with various welding processes; arc welding, MIG & TIG welding, etc. Familiarity with shipbuilding materials, tools, & equipmentKnowledge of shipbuilding principles & practicesAttention to detail & precision in workmanshipAbility to work independently and as a part of a teamGood communication & Interpersonal skillsAbility to lift heavy objectsTradesmen International not only offers consistent work, top pay, and employment opportunities, we also provide a benefits package that is among the best in the industry.
