Barista

Hi-Note is a radio bar located in the heart of Alphabet City. We host community radio in the bar, featuring live radio sets and original programming. Day and night, we serve a delicious range of offerings from coffee, craft cocktails, wine, and beer to a chef-curated selection of small plates. We're looking for a Barista to join Hi-Note. We're interested in people with an understanding and curiosity about coffee able to ensure consistent execution in drinks, enjoy building community, with an appreciation for radio. What we're looking for Knowledge of coffee and espresso drinks Can consistently dial-in espresso machines Experience in latte art Value cleanliness and engaging with customers Have excellent communication skills and attention to detail Experience in a fast paced environment Aligned with hospitality means being on the customer's side Able to lift 25-50 pounds and can stand for 4-8 hours You have or will obtain a Food Protection Certification 2+ years experience making coffee and espresso drinks What you'll be doing Making all coffee drinks Prepare tea, lemonade, and other beverages Help customers select a beverage that will delight them Serve a limited cocktail menu and wine Keep space clean Engage with customers to build community and provide a great experience Assemble small plates Check us out at:
