The Hebrew Educational Society, a thriving multi-service, comprehensive community center located in southeast Brooklyn, provides a diverse array of programs and services within a multicultural, multi-ethnic environment that is inclusive of people of all ages and ability levels. Programs include Early Childhood, After School, Camps, Athletic and Aquatic Activities, Older Adults & Persons with disabilities. Reporting Structure The Director of Programs for People with Disabilities will be one of the leaders within the agency's departments providing Human Services. This role will report to the Executive Director. Job Responsibilities To lead and be a representee of the HES's portfolio of both contracted and fee-for-service programs for children and adults with developmental disabilities including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Programs include but are not limited to an array of afterschool, adaptive sports, aquatics, camp, adult programming and family support service needs of people with disabilities, their families, and caregivers. The Program Director is responsible for day-to-day program oversight, service expansion, staff development, and outreach. Additionally, the Program Director will ensure programs meet both regulatory and quality standard criteria that support service outcome success. Necessary Skills Master's Degree in Social Work, Special Education, or Human Services related field preferred. 5 Years of experience in work with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities including but not limited to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Familiarity with conducting intakes and needs assessments. Strong ability to provide an individualized approach to conflict resolution and family resource allocation. Understanding of NYS OPWDD policies and procedures. Demonstrated ability to lead and supervise support service teams consisting of direct support professionals, program administrators, and interns. Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and written communication skills. Strong ability to be innovative, create support tools, and oversight systems. Demonstrates a capacity to promote a robust community of quality care, respect, and progress. #J-18808-Ljbffr
