Mid-Level Attorney - Commercial Litigation An esteemed law firm based in Austin is seeking a dedicated Mid-Level Attorney with specialized expertise in commercial and construction litigation. Salary: Dependent on Experience per year Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead representation of clients in both commercial and construction litigation from case inception to resolution, influencing courtroom strategies and decisions. Prepare for trials by crafting compelling pleadings, engaging motions, and negotiating settlement agreements. Execute extensive legal research and analysis to form robust case strategies and provide expert legal advice to clients. Work collaboratively with other attorneys and clients to formulate legal tactics and achieve case objectives. Manage multiple active cases efficiently, prioritizing tasks and maintaining strict timelines without sacrificing quality. Drive business development initiatives to broaden the firm's clientele and cultivate lasting relationships in the legal community. Provide mentorship and direction to junior attorneys, fostering a learning environment to elevate team skill levels. Minimum Position Qualifications: A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a respected law school. Current license to practice law in the state of Texas. At least three years of progressive experience in commercial and/or construction litigation, with a proven track record of favorable outcomes. Deep familiarity with legal procedures, case law, and regulatory standards pertinent to commercial and construction disputes. Exceptional writing and public speaking skills, able to communicate legal concepts and strategies effectively. Strong analytical abilities, capable of addressing and solving complex legal issues creatively and effectively. Self-motivated, capable of conducting and managing tasks independently as well as thriving in a team setting. Preferred Qualifications: prior experience with trial and appellate practices in state and federal courts. Exposure to business development activities, including growth strategies and networking in the legal sector. Capability in mentoring associates or leading small teams. Skills: Excellent negotiation and conflict resolution skills, ensuring client interests are represented vigorously and ethically. Keen attention to detail and highly organized, able to manage extensive documentation and case files. Adaptability and willingness to take on challenges and new business areas as they evolve. Strong leadership skills, capable of guiding and influencing both senior leadership and junior legal staff.
