To support our mission, we are seeking a highly skilled International Real Estate Legal Counsel to oversee legal and regulatory matters related to cross-border real estate transactions. This role will be pivotal in ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and facilitating secure property transactions across a variety of jurisdictions. Key Responsibilities: Legal Oversight: Provide comprehensive legal guidance on cross-border real estate transactions, including property acquisitions, leasing, and development. Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with local and international property laws, tax regulations, and residency or citizenship programs associated with real estate transactions. Contract Drafting and Review: Draft, review, and negotiate purchase agreements, leases, and other legal documents to ensure accuracy and protect client interests. Risk Assessment: Identify potential legal risks associated with property transactions in emerging markets and propose mitigation strategies. Jurisdictional Expertise: Stay informed on legal frameworks in key markets, including El Salvador, Malta, Madeira, Wyoming, Lugano, and special economic zones like Prospera and ZEDEs. Dispute Resolution: Assist in resolving disputes related to real estate transactions, ensuring fair outcomes for all parties involved. Collaborative Support: Work closely with real estate professionals, escrow services, and government officials to streamline legal processes. Regulatory Advocacy: Advise on regulatory changes that may impact property markets and help Citadel Jump navigate evolving legal landscapes. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree. Licensed to practice law in at least one jurisdiction, with a focus on real estate law. 7+ years of experience in international real estate transactions, property law, or related fields. Strong knowledge of property laws in multiple jurisdictions, particularly in emerging markets and SEZs. Experience with blockchain technology, Bitcoin transactions, or decentralized finance is a plus. Excellent contract drafting, negotiation, and risk management skills. Ability to work independently and manage legal matters across various time zones. Multilingual abilities are a plus.
