Duties and Responsibilities: Represent employers in employment litigation before state and federal agencies and courts. Provide practical and comprehensive advice and counseling on various employment-related matters. Handle complex collective actions, including Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) claims and state law class wage and hour claims. Research and brief employment law issues extensively. Manage business disputes, non-compete litigation, and employment-related disputes. Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs. Conduct legal research and stay updated on changes in employment law. Advocate effectively in oral arguments and client meetings. Work independently and perform tasks with minimal supervision. Requirements: 4-7 years of experience in employment law, mainly representing employers in litigation. Demonstrated experience in handling business disputes and non-compete litigation. Working knowledge of Massachusetts employment issues, including anti-discrimination statutes, wage and hour laws, paid family and medical leave, unemployment, and non-compete laws. Extensive experience with research and briefing employment law issues. Proven ability to provide practical advice and counseling on employment matters. Education and Certifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. Active Massachusetts license in good standing. Skills: Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills.
