A law firm in Detroit, MI is seeking an Aerospace and Defense Attorney with a minimum of 3 years of experience in federal government contracts, preferably with exposure to U.S. export controls. The ideal candidate will provide counsel on a range of A&D matters, including government and commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, and litigation support. Duties: Advise clients on government and commercial contracts in the aerospace and defense sector Draft legal memoranda, bid protests, REAs, claims, and policy articles Conduct legal research on government contracts, subcontracts, and regulatory requirements Manage projects and demonstrate organizational skills Represent clients in administrative and court proceedings, including bid protests and claims Assist with internal and government investigations and compliance planning Handle transactional support, including M&A and data rights issues Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal government contracts Familiarity with U.S. export controls, including OFAC sanctions Admission to the State Bar of Michigan or the D.C. Bar, or eligibility for admission by anticipated start date Portable book of business is desirable Education: Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school Certifications: Admitted to the State Bar of Michigan or the D.C. Bar, or eligible for admission by anticipated start date Skills: Strong communication skills, both oral and written Proficiency in legal research services Knowledge of government contracting regulations, including the FAR, DFARS, and agency FAR supplements Experience with space law, government contracting cost issues, and IP rights is advantageous Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively #J-18808-Ljbffr
