Regional Chain Sales Manager - Western US Position: Regional Chain Sales Manager - Western USJohn Anthony Wine and Spirits is a high-growth company in downtown Napa. With great ambition to scale our portfolio in the wine and spirits categories, we move fast, love what we do, and have a smart, tight-knit team.Position SummaryReporting to the Director of Sales - Western US, this position is responsible for increased sales and development of the JAWS portfolio in national and regional chain retail accounts. Establish and manage sales strategy within the off-premise chain channel and develop customer-specific annual plans that utilize distributor national and regional account team execution. Plan, construct, communicate, sell, and implement national/regional initiatives and brand priorities in assigned accounts, collaborating with JAWS sales, marketing, and distributor teams. The primary objective is to increase distribution, sales, and promotion of our brands in the chain retail channel for enhanced brand awareness with gatekeepers and consumers, while building and maintaining quality relationships with key distributor sales management in the Western region territory: CA, AZ, NV, NM, WA, OR, HI, AK, ID, and MT.Critical TasksExecution of Sales Objectives: In coordination with the JAWS sales and marketing team and distributor partners, develop and deliver tailored sales presentations and RFPs for assigned customers to ensure achievement of company sales goals. Work with Director of Sales - Western US and Director of National Accounts Off-Premise to develop and execute Chain programs, pricing, and support that will increase sales within the territory. Secure and manage planner programming, supporting opportunities, and merchandising execution responsibilities to enhance success of authorized placements. Develop relationships and maintain continual interface with key account decision-makers within the territory. Achieve annual depletion, profit, and performance goals in area of responsibility through business management of market and target account goals by state. Strategic Development:Follow pricing policies and direct desired practices in trade that capitalize on market opportunities while delivering company profitability. Analyze market data to identify trends, competitive activity, and sales opportunities. Utilize internal JAWS and distributor reporting to assess brand performance and develop action plans where needed for increased sales. Distributor Management:Interface with distributor partners at all levels and educate them on the JAWS portfolio and key directives to ensure focus and message is consistent with trade. Implement and manage regional sales plans at the state level and hold regular meetings with key distributor management for maximum execution and performance. Audit distributor bill-backs and take corrective action if needed. Miscellaneous:Provide feedback to sales leadership and marketing on market issues, opportunities, changes, gaps, challenges, and competitive activity. Provide senior management with required reports such as regional account updates, Top 100 Account updates, and allocation and depletion reports by market. Provide Director of Sales - Western and Director of National Accounts Off-Premise with all scheduling, meeting objectives, and new account development follow-up. Communicate regularly upcoming national/regional chain authorizations, pricing, and promotional activity internally and externally. Participate in trade and consumer tasting events and engage, support, and be active in home market account development and initiatives when not traveling. Requirements:Ten years sales experience Wine industry experience preferred Working experience with SGWS preferred Must be: A problem solver A self-starter Detail-oriented Must have above-average computer skills Experience with VIP required Will report directly to the Director of Sales - Western U.S.#J-18808-Ljbffr
