For concerns: The After School Program Site Coordinator plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations, program implementation, and development of youth and staff at the after-school site. Under the supervision of the Youth Program Director, the Site Coordinator ensures the delivery of a high-quality program that provides diverse learning opportunities for participants while fostering positive relationships with youth, families, and school administration. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe and welcoming environment, supporting program compliance with the YMCA of San Francisco's Youth Development Principles and Community Care Licensing standards. Additionally, the Site Coordinator will design and implement academic and enrichment-based activities and provide hands-on support by working directly with youth when needed. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by creating an engaging and inclusive after-school program that empowers youth to thrive. - Currently Hiring for Claire Lilienthal Elementary School - Located at 3630 Divisadero St, San Francisco, CA 94123 Develop, implement and participate in specialized and theme-based curriculum that meets the needs of the individual child with regards to cultural, developmental, and socioeconomic background. Promptly identify and respond to critical incidents and emergencies, while monitoring participant activities and enforcing safety regulations in both virtual and in-person settings. Ensure the delivery method, content, and facilitation all meet child-safe protocols as outlined by YMCA of San Francisco. Set a positive example for all staff, children, and volunteers, demonstrating good practices as After School program leaders. Maintain necessary administrative records for programming - sign in/sign out, logbook, emergency information, and policies and procedures. Respectful communication with staff, participants, parents, and volunteers. Plan youth program activities with parent, participant, and staff input to facilitate excellent After School programs. Ensure all youth programs meet safety and security requirements per YSF guidelines. Know and follow guidelines from the YMCA San Francisco Child Care Staff Manual. Attend staff meetings and trainings as required. Uphold YMCA policies for safety, supervision, mandated reporting, and risk management as expected of After School program leaders. All other duties as assigned by your supervisor. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 21 years old Meet any one of the following requirements:Child Development Site Supervisor Permit (from CCTC) Bachelor's degree in child development or early childhood education, 1 year of experience, plus 3 units in Supervisor Admin and 2 units in Adult Supervision Associate's degree in child development or Early Childhood Education, 2 years of experience, plus 3 units in Supervisor Admin and 2 units in Adult Supervision Coursework only and 4 years of experience; Must include 12 ECE core units (3 units each in Child/Adolescent or Psychological Development, Child/Family Studies, Curriculum, School-Aged Emphasis courses including Art, PE, Recreation; plus 6 units in ECE Supervisor Admin 1 & 2, 2 units in Adult Supervision Must be available Mondays-Fridays, 40 hours/week during program hours, some weekends 2+ years of experience working in a Child Care Center or youth program 6+ months of experience in a supervisory role Current YMCA approved CPR and First Aid certification (training available upon hire) Fingerprint background check clearance through Community Care Licensing TB Test clearance Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in child development or related field Bilingual skills in Spanish, Cantonese, Mandarin, or other languages strongly preferred Knowledge of arts, dance, drama, or sports Connections in the local community, helpful for After School program leaders.
