Data Systems Analyst 2 (DATA SYS ANL 2) Job Summary This position is in the Department of Neurology, Alzheimer's Disease Research Center and reports to the Data Systems Management Supervisor.The incumbent will be responsible for database development, database quality audits, input data, curate database reports for PIs and fulfill external resource sharing requests, provide analysis and recommendations to database management team on multiple databases.They will be in a team of researchers studying comprehensive biomarkers of both AD pathology and non-AD specific brain injury that may contribute to and modify the trajectories of cognitive decline. The incumbent is expected to perform without detailed supervision.The Alzheimer's Disease Research Center is a large, multi-site, diverse center located in Sacramento, California.Apply By July 19, 2024 at 11:59 pm Qualifications Minimum Qualifications BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience/training 1-3 years of experience working with clinical research data management systems collecting and processing scientific, biomedical and social sciences data 1-3 years of experience with SQL database administration and programming clinical research databases Experience integrating new software and programs to data services Experience developing web applications Experience working with researchers and users and understanding their data requests. Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft/Office 365, SQL Server, and other database systems Ability to apply critical thinking skills to identify and solve data management problems. Ability to work independently and with a team to achieve project goals Organizational skills to effectively monitor multiple projects with overlapping deadlines Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and follow security protocols for the protection of PHI information Preferred Qualifications 1-3 years of experience working with OpenSpecimen databases Experience as Super Administrator role. Key Responsibilities 30% - Data Management 25% - Quality Control 25% - Database Reporting and Analysis 10% - Training and Mentoring 5% - Program Liaison 5% - Miscellaneous Duties as Assigned Department Overview The Department of Neurology conducts basic and clinical research on the nervous system and provides clinical care for people with neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer's disease and other forms of dementia, epilepsy, movement disorders like Parkinson's and Huntington's diseases, tremor, dystonia, multiple sclerosis, neuromuscular conditions, headache and sleep disorders.Our faculty includes leading neuroscientists, who work to expand our knowledge of nervous system function, as well as neurologists and psychologists who provide diagnosis and treatment for adults and children.We partner with colleagues from throughout the health system and work closely with the Department of Neurological Surgery to provide multidisciplinary team management for neurological disorders.We also offer cutting-edge diagnostic approaches, including advanced neuroimaging technologies and access to trials of new medications and other therapeutic modalities.
