Our Product Model Realization team is made up of experienced professionals who bridge the divide between product and technology. We create space for our clients to collaborate, transform and grow while maintaining a focus on delivering business value through technology driven products. In this role as a Domain Services Architect, you will hands-on as a driver to translate domain artifacts and specifications into developed functionality. Within this role you will take in strategic and tactical domain artifacts from Accenture's Domain Driven Design playbook to represent the bridge between Product Owners and the engineering teams who will create new functionality. While the journey will come with milestones, the success of the program will depend on your ownership and understanding of the desired product and the ability to make critical prioritization decisions on a constant basis. You will be a critical component of the hands-on diverse team who are turning vision into reality. Preferred Background in 1 of the following industries: Financial Services: We are in the midst of helping clients fundamentally rethink payments, commercial banking, retirement and other core systems which are 25+ years old. The industry is at a crossroads, and needs help from the outside in order to make most efficient use of capital, retain customers in the face of emerging competition, and compete as the market rapidly changes. This also means discarding existing constraints and preconceptions to develop a modern product-driven portfolio of services which comprehensively meet the businesses needs. We are looking for industry veterans who are tired of the status quo of being asked to retrofit their competitors products onto burning platforms and look-alike services. If you have a vision for next generation financial service offerings, we have a place for you. Aerospace/Defense: Suppliers, manufacturers, and operators in a once-closed ecosystem area being challenged. This brings new partner possibilities & a market force for change to existing organizations. As the Aerospace & Defense industry looks to incorporate new technologies & processes into its physical space, there is more pressure to move from initiative-based mindset to the creation, operation, and decommissioning of product services. All while maintaining the same strict control and quality assurance required of this space. Supply Chain/Logistics: In a world where Just-In-Time logistics is at odds with volatile global economics & disasters, our clients are desperate to build upon their existing expertise with a stronger ability to adapt real-time to changing situations. When the cost of redirecting cargo can fluctuate in minutes, management of supply chain and logistics must merge its short and long-term horizon. This means designing & offering a large portfolio of products & solutions which can often have their availability, cost, and margin change minute by minute. It also means the introduction of new products is a constant, while making sure that undesirable overlap is minimized. If you're an industry veteran who wants to stop hiding new offerings in old wrappers with manual data fixes & overhead, we have a place for you. What You'll Need: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in a professional setting within an agile team Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience as a domain architect, refining specifications and iterating on them through the delivery lifecycle. Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience owning a backlog, gathering & addressing issues & risks. Minimum 3+ years delivering new products in an industry leading banking, payments, or capital markets firm OR has been part of delivering a new product for a demonstrably successful fintech product company. Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience. (If Associate's Degree, must have minimum 6 years work experience) Bonus if you have: Experience incorporating a strategic Domain model, with products aligned supported by specifications. Experience acting as a team advocate translating specification into delivered features, serving as a bridge between Product Owners, designers, engineers, and other team members. Experience in presenting and explaining product management, agile methodologies, and coaching techniques to stakeholders. Experience across the entire product delivery lifecycle, taking the Strategic Domain Model as input to define how functions and processes are served by the created domain. Successful delivery and refinement of financial industry products by domain, translating specification into successful agile system implementation and operation. Experience operating within an Agile delivery model (Scrum, SAFe, LeSS). Certification preferred. Experience working with an Agile SDLC tool (Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, Trello) Experience with defining all levels of Agile release objects (Epic, Story, Feature) Experience operating in an Agile sprint (PI) including required ceremonies. Experience with building services on at least one major public cloud provider. Experience with multiple agile and scrum frameworks (Agile, Scrum, SAFe) and software's (JIRA, Azure DevOps, Rally, Trello, etc.) Experience in innovative workshop design and facilitation Experience with developing product vision and roadmaps Experience with Domain Driven Design Familiarity with the stages and concepts of Software Delivery Life Cycle (SDLC) Experience designing modern architecture patterns including API and Event Driven Architectures Experience with Behavior Driven Development/Test Driven Development Experience defining and refining engineering team specifications & user stories. Familiarity with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure; namely choosing platform components and assembling application and runtime architecture. Professional Skills: Strong Critical Thinking, Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills. Strong visualization skills. Initiative-taking is required. Demonstrated leadership, camaraderie, and teamwork in a multi-cultural professional setting Curiosity and a desire to continuously learn Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York or Washington as set forth below.
