Display Electrical Engineer San Diego, California, United States Hardware The Display Hardware team is looking for a talented Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of next-generation displays for Mac products. You will be working in a dynamic and collaborative environment that fosters creativity and innovation. As a key member of the team, you will contribute to the integration of cutting-edge display technologies into exciting new products. Description Lead design of PCB and electrical characterization/validation from prototype through mass production. Conduct feasibility study based on the mechanical and thermal constraints, and scope the EE design integration. Analyze and run simulations to meet various requirements such as Optics, SI/PI, system co-existence. Participate in cross-functional design reviews and become a valued contributor in the overall system design. Communicate and present technology updates and project status to executives and cross-functional teams. Manage project milestones and issues through product developments. Perform failure analysis on electrical, mechanical, and optical issues. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience. Experience in mixed-signal EE design at either IC or PCB level. Experience in circuit/math analysis and modeling and experience in simulation tools like SPICE or MATLAB. Experience in HW prototype bring-up, debug, validation, and failure analysis. Experience in scripting, factory data processing, or test automation. Programming experience in Python, Shell script, MATLAB or similar. Key Qualifications Experience in three or more of the following: DC-DC power converter design & analysis. Digital and analog circuit design & analysis. High-speed signal SI/PI/crosstalk analysis. Schematic capture, PCB layout design, BOM generation. Consumer electronics and high-volume production experience. Modern display technologies, such as LCD, TFT, OLED, LED, etc. Self-driven and highly motivated with a passion for crafting and innovating, attention to details, strong problem-solving skills. Comfortable working in a fast-paced and highly collaborative work environment. Proficiency in EE validation/characterization tasks, and familiar with lab equipment and test automation. Develop factory test plan and manage manufacturer partner to conduct data collection, and analyze large-scale data. Ability to communicate and present technology updates and project status to executives and functional teams. Education & Experience Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $166,600 and $296,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
