Your Responsibilities As an IT Security Engineer in our Security Operations Team, you will be responsible for identifying potential weak spots in our IT system and assisting in protecting our internal network from critical security breaches and unauthorized access.Your responsibilities will include: You monitor networks for signs of potential security threats. You conduct security assessments and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities. You create risk assessments and communicate incident reports to the team to develop collaborative solutions. You collaborate with the InfoSec team to develop and implement preventive measures. You will be part of a 24/7 on-call rotation with additional compensation. You serve as the central point of contact for all IT security and incident response matters. You will handle hands-on work together with other operational teams (e.g., IT and Cloud Operations). You report to the Chief Information Security Officer (GISM/CISO) in your area of expertise. What you need to succeed You have completed a degree in Information Technology or a similar education with solid knowledge. You have worked in the position of an IT Administrator with a focus on security, have experience in penetration testing, and are willing to pursue further education if needed. Ideally, you have knowledge of database management systems (DBMS), API security, and data protection laws (HIPAA, GDPR), as well as experience with specific security tests. You are characterized by the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals both inside and outside the team. You are fluent in English. Basic knowledge of German is an advantage.
