Who You Are We are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join Hometap's DevOps team. Reporting to our Lead DevOps Engineer, you'll play a key role in delivering a world-class experience to Hometap's homeowners and investors. You're a great fit for this role if you have experience releasing and maintaining software, are familiar with modern CI/CD and AWS environments, and can contribute to solving new problems across the stack. You look forward to partnering with your teammates, helping us ramp up software reliability, shorten delivery times, and closely monitor installation health. What You'll Do Deploy test and production environments, handling all related workflows, pipelines, and automations. Ship and maintain software used to process Hometap's investment portfolio. Manage the deployment and automation of our software releases, with an eye toward improving efficiency and reliability. Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines supporting all parts of our stack. Work on homegrown tools essential to operations across Hometap. Play a key role in deploying and managing infrastructure within AWS. What You'll Bring 2+ years DevOps experience, with comfort developing and iterating on modern CI/CD pipelines. Experience deploying Python-based web applications using docker to AWS - our key tech is Django, Flask, React, and Postgres. High level of comfort with AWS and Terraform. Experience standing up systems as well as resource monitoring. Ability and willingness to participate in the on-call rotation as the first and second lines of site reliability response. Readiness to collaborate with the rest of the engineering organization to stay up-to-date on the latest DevOps practices, cloud technologies, and new opportunities. An affinity for working collaboratively to build, maintain, and improve upon efficient and effective systems. Hometap is on a mission to make homeownership less stressful and more accessible.
