Job Title: Project Manager - Civil Engineering Job Description We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic Civil Design team. This role requires a dedicated professional who will serve as an ambassador for our company both internally and externally, upholding our mission, purpose statement, strategic plan, and core values. The Project Manager will maintain a commitment to excellence and quality, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with peers, employees, and management. This position also involves interacting with clients in a professional and courteous manner and performing administrative tasks in a timely manner. Responsibilities * Uphold and fulfill the company's mission, purpose statement, strategic plan, and core values. * Maintain a commitment to excellence and quality. * Communicate effectively, work collaboratively, and proactively with peers, employees, and management. * Interact with clients and represent the company professionally and courteously. * Perform administrative tasks on time, including timecard review and approval, pre-bills, reimbursables, and meeting attendance. * Promote a positive work environment and healthy company culture. * Follow all company policies and procedures. * Exercise discretion and independent judgment regularly, affecting matters of consequence to the business or our customers. * Travel as necessary to support the firm and clients. * Share profession-related talents with others in the firm. * Perform other duties as necessary to support the company's success. * Provide management for public and private land development projects, including schedule, budget, communication with clients, and overall project design. * Mentor and oversee the design work of staff. * Solicit work with new and existing clients, write proposals, and conduct interviews. * Manage multiple projects and communications with clients. * Oversee quality control and ensure compliance within the project scope. Essential Skills * Proficiency with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software. * Proficiency in one or more project management software. * Expertise in managing specific project and client types within sectors. * Ability to analyze complex problems and work with junior staff to develop and implement creative solutions. * Ability to lead, mentor, and direct junior staff on engineering concepts and designs. * Ability to work in a team. * Excellent customer/client service skills and multi-tasking abilities. * Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel). Additional Skills & Qualifications * Experience in design and calculations for drainage facilities, grading, street improvements, water, sewer, and storm drain systems. Work Environment The Civil Design team operates on a hybrid schedule, with 2 days in the office. Team members can work out of the Santa Barbara office or the Ventura office. The team environment is collaborative, with a team size of 5. The dress code is business casual. The standard work hours are from 8 am to 5 pm.
