Procurement Category Manager

Category Manager - Professional ServicesJob Summary: Develop and implement procurement strategies for the Professional Services category and other assigned areas. Focus on reducing costs, improving supplier performance, and enhancing purchasing practices. Perform spend analysis and market assessments to ensure effective sourcing and category management. Manage strategies for Contingent Labor and Consulting services.Essential Duties:Execute strategic sourcing strategies to improve supplier quality, cost-effectiveness, and service levels.Develop and manage RFIs and RFPs, select suppliers, and conduct negotiations.Streamline business processes and research industry trends.Develop and implement negotiation strategies and supplier risk analysis.Use spend data to identify sourcing projects and develop plans.Manage category performance and balance spend portfolio.Build strong working relationships across the company.Drive supplier performance improvements.Prepare business cases and present cost savings proposals.Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and procurement policies.Education: Bachelor's Degree required. Master’s degree preferred.Experience:Minimum 8 years in procurement or category management in a large company.Experience with Contingent Labor programs.Proven experience in leading RFx processes and supplier management.Strong understanding of sourcing and category management concepts.Excellent analytical and contract management skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a continuous improvement environment.Skills:Strong communication and negotiation skills.Detail-oriented with insights into market trends.Excellent analytical, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.Proactive, results-oriented, and a team player.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to influence decision-making and maintain balance in a fast-paced environment.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: CPSM, CPM, CPP, CPIM, or other designations preferred but not required.
