Our client a top tier financial services firm is seeking a Futures Clearance VP that will play a critical role in supporting the execution and operational life cycle of futures and options. This position emphasizes accurate setup, reconciliation, and payment processes for trading activity, primarily on U.S. exchanges (CME/CBT). The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of futures clearing systems, fee structures, and operational workflows while driving process improvements and ensuring risk mitigation.Key Responsibilities:Operational Oversight:Configure and maintain rate structures for third-party execution and exchange fees in internal and external systems.Manage static data for counterparties, accounts, and brokers to ensure seamless trading operations.Oversee the lifecycle management of trades, including EFRP, block transactions, and other execution methods.Monitor and resolve discrepancies in trades, reconciliations, and fee settlements across platforms.Clearing and Payments:Reconcile brokerage fees, exchange fees, and third-party execution charges using tools such as Atlantis, GMI, and BPS.Process and coordinate timely payments for execution services, regulatory fees, and exchange obligations.Ensure accurate and compliant setup of give-up agreements, coordinating with brokers for proper execution.Risk Management and Collaboration:Liaise with trading desks, counterparties, and internal stakeholders to address issues in real time and maintain operational integrity.Enhance internal controls, minimize operational risk, and ensure compliance with industry regulations.Work collaboratively on cross-departmental initiatives to drive efficiency and align with best practices.Process Improvement:Lead efforts to refine and automate workflows related to futures operations.Support ad-hoc projects, process optimization, and system enhancements to improve overall performance.Qualifications and Skills:Experience and Expertise:Background: Minimum 8 years of experience in financial services, with a focus on clearing operations, back-office processing, or futures execution.Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of operational platforms such as GMI, Clearvision, FIS CD, Atlantis, and eDocs. Proficiency in Excel, including Macros and Pivot Tables.Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with exchange and regulatory requirements for futures and options on futures trading.Core Competencies:Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to address complex operational challenges.Effective communication skills to interact with brokers, trading teams, and other key stakeholders.Ability to work autonomously, prioritize competing demands, and meet strict deadlines under pressure.Exceptional attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.This is a full-time role that will sit on-site either in NYC or the SouthEast.
